After thoughts:
I built this set over a spread of a two evenings on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, clocking almost 12 hours to complete.

Nice things…

Something I realised for the first time that the set number and bag number are actually printed apart from the “Numbered Pack”. As seen below, 01020.57 12 is Set 01020 bag number 57 of Numbered 12 Pack. It is a great way to check if you have any missing bags by going through the bag numbers. This is definitely something new for me which I do not remember noticing while building the 1st wave Modular Buildings of the Zhong Hua Street.

Another thing i discovered is that in the Instruction Book, it will also mention how many bags are there in the “Numbered Pack”. Which is again a good way to check for missing bags.

The minifigure new shoulder and arm joint really open up alot of the articulation for various poses, something which i definitely like.

Not so nice things…

What I still do not like is that the sticker is taped to the Instruction Book. Over time, it will create a mark on the book if left on the book or it will leave some residue mark if peeled off carefully or tear the page accidentally while peeling off the tape. Something which personally i do not like any marks or tears on my books.

Unless one have steel fingers, I would suggest to use a hobby pliers to clamp the minifigure shoulder and arm joints together. No doubt this new feature is something that i like but trust me, I have resorted to using hand tools and power tools even on various occasions while building XingBao’s set. Some building steps are just impossible to be carried out without the aid of tools due to the tolerance of the molded parts, clutch power or even manufacture deflects.

Hope you have enjoyed this. Thank you for reading!

Do check out my earlier reviews of  the Zhong Hua Street (中华街).
